Terms
What you agree to by using this site and joining the waitlist.
Last updated 20 July 2026
Causal is pre-launch. These terms cover the causal.store website and its waitlist. They do not cover the product. It is not generally available, and it will come with its own terms.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Causal (“we”, “us”), the operator of causal.store. Using the site or submitting the waitlist form means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an employer, you confirm you are allowed to.
What Causal is
Causal is experience memory for AI agents — it records what your agents tried, what happened, and why, then serves that experience into the next decision. The product is not generally available. Features, limits, and pricing described on this site can change, and nothing here is an offer or a commitment to deliver any specific capability on any specific date.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist gets your email address a place in the queue. It does not guarantee access, a trial, a price, or a timeline, and it does not create a contract to supply anything. Give us an address you control. Ask us at hello@causal.store and we remove you. How the address is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
While using this site, do not:
- submit an email address that is not yours, or otherwise impersonate anyone;
- automate, flood, or otherwise abuse the waitlist form or any endpoint behind it;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the site, or try to reach systems or data you were not given access to;
- scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people, or ignore our robots directives;
- use the site to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or distribute malware.
Ordinary crawling by search engines and AI assistants is welcome and covered by our robots.txt.
No warranty
The site and anything we make available before general availability are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uptime, accuracy, or that any preview data survives to launch. Preview features can be changed or withdrawn without notice.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is true, the exclusions apply to the maximum extent the law allows and your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of this site or the waitlist. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Intellectual property
The site, its copy, its imagery, the Causal name and mark, and the software behind them are ours or our licensors’. These terms grant you no licence to them beyond viewing the site. Any feedback you send us we may use freely, without obligation to you.
When the product ships, the data and memory graphs you put into it stay yours. Nothing here claims a right over them.
Third-party links
We link to GitHub, X, LinkedIn, and other sites we do not run. What happens there is on their terms, not ours.
Termination
We can remove a waitlist entry or block access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if these terms are broken or if the site is being abused. You can leave the waitlist at any time by emailing us. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, liability — survive.
Your local rights
Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights you hold under the law of the country where you live, and nothing here requires you to bring a claim anywhere other than where that law allows.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change materially affects people on the waitlist, we email them before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
